The Pilot Mother project offers free group activities for immigrant stay-at-home mothers. The activities will start in week 38 (16-20 September). Four weekly mothers’ groups will start in different parts of Turku and Raisio. The groups will be led by peer mentors Sevime Bushi Hoxha, Sara Arzideh and Anna Heikkilä. Find out more about the mentors here.
In the groups, mothers receive support in areas such as employment and motherhood. Participants’ wishes are taken into account in the content of the activities. Children are welcome to join the groups. A programme is organised for them at the same time. Two of the groups are multilingual and can be attended by people from any language background. In the other two groups, the main languages are Kurdish, Farsi and Albanian, but Finnish can also be used. For more information on the groups, click here.
